Understanding Mutual funds

The pooled money is being managed by Fund manager at iniinvest sa ibat ibang investment (Diversified Investment portfolio) tulad ng stocks ng ibat ibang corporations at bonds.

Investing in mutual is almost the same in stock market investment.Your ownership of the fund is represented by shares through NAVPS (Net Asset value Per share).

The 200.00 represents your investment while the 40.00 is the NAVPS when you started investing. The 5 kilos represents the number of shares you own on that mutual fund. In other words, if you want to withraw or sell your 5 shares at 45.00 (NAVPS on the day you want to withraw), then you gain 25.00 on your investment.

Normally, you can start at 5,000 at pwede mo siyang dagdagan monthly, quarterly or annually depende sa budgetr mo. You can even invest 1,000 a month (12,000 a year}.

Mutual fund is typically intended for long term investments becasuse it also has risk just like any form of investment. The only thing we can do is to manage the risk. Kaya napakaimportante na pipiliin ninyo ang mutual fund company/fund manager na may magandang historical records in the industry. If you are planning  to invest for your kids education, dream vacation or your retirement, this is definitely the best investment vehicle.

IMPRTANT:  Sa pag iinvest, importante ang time. The early you start, the greater the return.

For example, if you are 25 years okd today and invest 2,000 a month consistently for 15 years at 12 % interest per year (in stocks or mutual fund), once you reach 40 years, meron ka nang 1 milyon. What if you have more to invest?
